

A frequency relay and recorder, the FR2, is a Digital Signal Processor based system which computes phasor values of a voltage at a nominal rate of 20 phasors per cycle. The phase angle rate of change is calculated for rapid measurement of frequency with extremely high precision.
FR2 features underfrequency, overfrequency and 4 set points, each capable of tripping with 6 cycles or more of delay. A frequency output is available every second. The relay can store a data profile during trip time for up to five minutes. This profile can be transmitted to a SCADA system or output over the RS-232 port.
